Cooking and real estate, alas they have so much in common for me. Its been a long hard winter in the real estate business and suddenly it hit! I've really been busy since the first of March and have enjoyed working with some great clients. One of my seller's housesold so fast (7 hours after it hit MLS) that he had no where to live for a few weeks and he is staying at my home. He and my hubby hit it off famously. They are busy in the other room playing Wii while I'm cooking up a storm. Tonight they are having baby back ribs basted with homemade barbeque sauce, oven fried sweet potatoes, fresh asparagus steamed in my steam oven, homemade Italian crusty herb bread and a huge salad. Being the health nut I am, I am having a different dinner: homemade flatbread pizza, roasted brussels sprouts, some of those asparagus and of course, the big salad we have almost every night.
Aside from making all this food for dinner, I made 50 pounds of my homemade granola that I went through by giving to clients since I've been so busy lately I used all I had made 6 weeks ago! Whew! What a day! Rewarding.
